Atlanta to Sun ‘n Fun (Lake Land FL)
I’ve had my P&M Quik GTR for nearly a year and the longest cross country I’ve done so far was a 260 mile round trip to a fly-in near Columbia SC.  To fly from Jackson County airport KJCA, which is located about 60 miles North East of Down Town Atlanta, to Lakeland FL is about 470 miles - an easy 2 day flight or possibly it could be done in a single day - so I decided to fly to Sun ‘n Fun provided the weather forecast for Lakeland would not be stormy during Sun ’n Fun week. A full article appeared in Light Sport Powered Aircraft Magazine but here are a few pictures.  On the way down stopped at Suwannee County Airport near Live Oak FL, local EAA member kindly allowed us to use his hanger to sleep over night. Flight back was a single day -  left Sun 'n Fun 7.30am was in Jackson County 3.30 despite a head wind with stops in Suwannee County and Perry for gas and refreshments.
